RENOUS, N.B. — An investigation has been launched into the apparent suicide of an inmate at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, N.B.

Michael Kenneth Wilmot died Sunday while in custody at the maximum-security prison.

The 24-year-old was serving a four-year, 11-month sentence for aggravated assault.
